Our Team
Peter Chien, DMD, MPH
Dr. Peter Chien, a long time resident of the West coast, currently
lives in Renton, Washington, with his wife and daughter. He enjoys
watching and playing basketball, jogging at the local track and gym, and
can occasionally be seen catching the perfect summer surf and sun
alongside the waters. He also has a taste for various ethnic cuisines,
and likes to sample a wide variety of different and unique dishes.
 Dr. Chien graduated with a bachelor's degree in molecular and cell
biology at the University of California at Berkeley. Afterwards he
enrolled at Loma Linda University, graduating with a Masters of Public
Health in Epidemiology, where he also worked at the Center for Health
Research engaging in medical statistical research. He then matriculated
at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and received a Doctoral of
Dental Medicine, graduating with clinical honors.
Dr. Chien has special interests in maintaining and restoring
beautiful smiles. He loves working with children and all family members
alike. He strives to provide a relaxed and gentle atmosphere where
patients feel comfortable, even to the point where many actually fall
asleep in the chair! He has a strong desire to keep abreast of the
latest dental technologies and research.
Dr. Chien continues to take advanced educational courses beyond what
is required, with special emphasis on cosmetic dentistry, endodontics,
and oral surgery. He is a sound proponent of forward thinking research,
and is excited to be able to provide the best quality care for his
patients. Dr. Chien is an active member of the Washington State Dental
Association, King County Dental Society, and the American Dental
Association. He has also formed a local dental study club that holds
regular meetings and lectures for general dentists and specialists.
Dr. Chien looks forward to continuing to implement the latest
technology, as dentistry and medicine continue to evolve. He provides
all services of a general dentist, including cosmetic dentistry. Feel

Miki Suetsugu, DMD
"Dr. Miki", as she is well known to her patients, is a native of Washington
state. She graduated with honors from
Renton High School and went on to obtain her Bachelor's of
Science (BS) degree from
Duke University in Durham,
North Carolina. She obtained her Doctor of Dental
Medicine (DMD) degree at Tufts
University School of Dental Medicine in Boston,
Massachusetts in 2004. There, she met her husband, Dr.
Peter. Y. Chien.
They have been married for
over 7 years and have a
4 year old daughter named
Elizabeth and a 7 year old
Yorkie named Scrappy. Dr. Miki
is fluent in Japanese and enjoys
spending her free time with her
family and friends, yoga, and
training for half marathons.
She loves her hometown here in
the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
Dr. Miki enjoys being a
dentist and believes that
creating beautiful smiles
requires continuous education,
practical experience, and
life-long learning. Her
interests in dentistry include
treating children, preventive
and evidence-based dentistry,
and treating the apprehensive
patient. She has taught at
Renton Technical College and
South Sound Community College as
a dentist/instructor for the
dental assisting programs. She
has also taken a number of
continuous education classes and
is involved in dental study
clubs on the east side.
Dr. Miki is actively involved
in her community and has
volunteered at University
of Washington Medical
Center, Keiro Nursing Home, and Harborview
Medical Center.

Tanya has 10
years experience in
the dental field as
both a dental
assistant and dental
hygienist. She
joined our practice
in 2009 after
graduating from
Clark College Dental
Hygiene School with
honors. She has
tremendously enjoyed
her last two years
as a dental
hygienist and takes
great pride in
helping her patients
to maintain optimum
oral health. Tanya
focuses on offering
a comfortable
treatment
experience, while
providing thorough
care. She values
education for both
her patients and
herself. She is
completing her Bachelor's Degree in
Dental Hygiene and
keeps up with the
latest information
through continuing
education courses,
which allows her to
educate patients
with the most
current information
and provide
treatment utilizing
the latest
technology. In her
free time Tanya
enjoys spending time
with friends hiking,
camping, and
traveling.

Coordinator
Loc has worked in
the dental field for
over four years as
both an assistant
and the front
office. She enjoys
handling the many
details involved
with processing
insurance claims.
She's a powerful
advocate for
patients, helping
them maximize their
insurance benefits.
Loc takes her
position as the
guardian of your
money as seriously
as you do. She is
very conscious of
the need to be clear
about treatment
costs and projected
dental plan
benefits. Loc is
also fluent in
Vietnamese.

Brenda has five
years of experience
as a Certified
Registered Dental
Assistant. Brenda's
been part our team
over a year
following her move
from Eastern
Washington. Brenda
is always there to
make sure that
things run smoothly
and everyone is well
taken care of.

Spanish speaking patients enjoy
Brenda and feel like they're in good,
capable hands.

Dental Assistant
Yalda joined our
team in September
2010. She loves
interacting with our
patients. She has
excellent customer
service and seeing
our patients leave
with great smiles is
very rewarding to
her. Yalda is
currently going to
Bellevue College for
her Dental Hygiene
Program
pre-requisites. On
her free time she
enjoys spending time
with her family.
In addition to
English, Yalda also
speaks Farsi and
Turkish.
